Principle
Find someone who has achieved the success that you wish to achieve. Study that person’s habits. What do they do that is different from what you do? Every result can be replicated. Model others successes and you shall rein victorious in your pursuit.

When I was thirteen I watched an instructional video of Mickey Mantle on how to become a better hitter. In it, he said to look in the mirror and swing the bat 200 times left handed and 200 times right-handed every day. I did it without fail and went from a benchwarmer to an all-star in a single season.

A few years later, I noticed that my high school football coach, Ted Petersen, studied film relentlessly. You may be saying to yourself, “Every coach studies film.” You’re right but there were two differences between Coach Petersen and nearly every other coach. First, it was the way he did it. Second, he had two Super Bowl rings from when he played with the Pittsburgh Steelers in the late 1970s. He studied film every day so I did as well. It worked.

The point to take home here is that every success has consistent actions that are not celebrated. No one celebrates the daily grind. It is here, in the small consistent daily actions that success arises. Your physical success will depend largely on continuously applying the basic fundamental principles and practices, for they are the foundation of Physical Mastery.
