Blog: Effective Eating

Lions & Lionesses,

A client asked me the other day, “What else can I drink besides plain water?” This is a great question and it’s simple.  If you want a guiding principle:

You can drink anything that is calorie free.

The only exception is protein drinks and all vegetable green drinks.

The most common choices are unsweetened green tea, black tea and herbal teas, as well as, black coffee.

Plain, Purified Water should make up 80-90% of your daily fluid intake.  If you want to add some lemon juice to it then go for it.  I understand you are human and probably enjoy the flavor of what you drink and eat so this is where we find options that satisfy your taste buds and allow you to stick to your program a bit better.

One of the best options available here in the United States is a product called ZEVIA.

It is a healthy soft drink alternative that is naturally sweetened with stevia, sugar-free and actually taste…SURPRISINGLY GREAT!  In my opinion they taste better than the mainstream versions and WAY BETTER than any diet soda anywhere.

And check this out: ZEVIA contains no colorings so it is clear.

There are a ton of flavors, enough to satisfy any sweet tooth.  Of course, nothing is better than the “nectar of the Gods” – CLEAN WATER.

After all, nothing beats Mother Nature; however, the key to optimal health and fitness is to establish and maintain daily actions and rituals that inch you forward each day.

It is the small things done consistently and relentlessly that lead to massive results over time.

With that said, a number of my clients have used ZEVIA as a tool to stay the course and prevent sweet cravings and overeating.  Even their kids enjoy it which says a lot. So it’s worth giving it a go.

And for the record, I am not sponsored by ZEVIA or any company for that matter.  I’m sharing this because it has helped my clients and it may help you too.

If you have tried it, then let me know what you think in the comments below.

Gratitude,

Billy Beck III “BB3”
